Senior night was the theme of many meets across the country in week 10. Beyond celebrating seniors, we witnessed school records, season high scores, and a Big Ten regular season title, which was won by just two tenths.

Greenville (311.9)  and Navy (312.5) faced off in a much anticipated ECAC battle. This dual was the Isaiah Drake show. The Navy senior won rings (14.05), vault (14.1), and high bar (13.55). Drake’s walk off performance on high bar sealed the deal for Navy as his team claimed a victory on senior night. Donovan Divney and Jaxon Clapper tied on parallel bars (13.35) to win the event for Greenville

In tri-meet action at West Point, Air Force (307.85) and Simpson (295.4) took on Army (311.45). A few big errors cost Air Force the contest in which a consistent Army squad capitalized to claim the top spot. Erich Upton won the all-around title for Airforce while topping the podium on floor (14.05) and parallel bars (13.35). Army’s Maddox Pabellon and Air Force’s Jack Matlock tied (14.00) for the pommel horse title.

In their second contest of the weekend, Greenville (298.75) challenged Oklahoma (325.25) and William & Mary (311.55) in Williamsburg. Evan Wilkins was the top performer for William & Mary, placing second on rings (13.2). Emre Dodanli and Fuzzy Benas were both in peak form for Oklahoma, winning two events each. Dodanli won floor (14.4) and high bar (14.5), while Benas won titles on vault (14.45) and parallel bars (13.95).

Michigan (328.1) defended their turf against a tenacious Ohio State (322.0) squad in a critical Big Ten regular season matchup. Both teams traded the lead heading into the last event. Ohio State faltered and Michigan sealed the deal with a huge performance from 6th year senior, Paul Juda (14.3). Ohio State was not without their fair share of big performances. Parker Thackston went big on pommel horse (15.05) and as expected, Kameron Nelson (14.55) showed his mastery of vault.

On the west coast, Stanford (324.35) hosted Cal (313.2) on senior night. Taylor Burkhart won the all-around (80.4), and claimed titles on floor (14.2) and pommel horse (13.75). Cal’s Aidan Li tied Burkhart for the pommel horse title. Other notable performances were Brandon Nguyen’s parallel bars (14.2) and Ian Lasic-Ellis on high bar (13.7).

Springfield (305.8) defended their gym against visiting Simpson (293.45) in Simpson’s second outing of the weekend. Springfield’s Owen Carney led his team with titles on floor (13.6) and  high bar (12.8). Braxton Jones (14.45) pulled off a school record on vault to help Simpson. Jones’ teammate Alex Catchpole (13.15) helped carry his team with a solid parallel bars performance

To close out the weekend, Penn State (329.05) and Nebraska (328.85) battled it out to the very end in a Big Ten regular season matchup that resulted in Penn State winning the regular season title. Nebraska’s Taylor Christopulos (14.5) put on a show on floor, and his teammate Yianni Chronopoulos did the same on pommel horse (14.2). But their efforts weren’t quite enough for a surging Penn State team. The Nittany Lions’ Josh Karnes was on fire. He put up a national season high score on parallel bars (14.6) and won the high bar title (14.0) to help his team edge past a talented Nebraska squad. This meet sets the stage for an exciting postseason ahead.
