Each week we’ll be releasing a “Power Rankings” that aims to provide a fluid picture of how each team across the NCAA is doing at the moment and where we see them heading. The (+) or (-) next to each team relates to how far they rose or fell from the week before.

The biggest story of the weekend by far is the contest between Michigan and Illinois. The two met in Ann Arbor to battle it out for the Big Ten regular season title and the home team came away with the victory. The Wolverines (411.25) defeated the Illini (405.55). Illinois had some late struggles and Michigan was without their two star freshmen, Fred Richard and Landon Blixt who were competing internationally over the weekend. The two will rematch at the Big Ten Championships at the end of the month.
Another notable matchup was a tri-meet hosted by Nebraska (410.8), in which the Huskers easily topped Ohio State (401.75) and Greenville (384.05) on senior night to close out the season. The Huskers are looking strong heading into the postseason, and Ohio State is in good shape as they will be hosting the Big Ten Championships.
Oklahoma (410.05) traveled to Berkeley to take on Cal (381.45). The Sooners entered Bear territory and dominated from start to finish. Penn State (396.4) also had a solid weekend as they faced William & Mary (382.75). These two results, while somewhat lopsided, set up each of the teams involved well for their upcoming conference contests.
In ECAC action, Army (396.65) and Springfield (392.1) both put up season highs to close out their 2023 regular season campaigns. Navy (381.85) and Simpson (346.4) also went head-to-head in their last contests before ECAC championships.
