Week 7 Power Rankings & Schedule
Each week we’ll be releasing a “Power Rankings” that aims to provide a fluid picture of how each team across the NCAA is doing on a week-to-week basis and where we see them heading. The (+) or (-) next to each team relates to how far they rose or fell from the week before.
This year’s Power Rankings are developed utilizing the NCAA coaches’ poll as well as input from major gymnastics publications including, Inside Gymnastics, Gymnastics Now, and Neutral Deductions.

Week 7 was highlighted by a breakout performance for Nebraska (412.9) as they took on Army (393.55) and Greenville (395.7). Nebraska showed that they are not going to sit around and let Michigan, Oklahoma, and Illinois challenge to dethrone the Stanford dynasty this year without a Husker presence. Greenville also made a statement over the weekend, topping Army and solidifying this young squad as a true contender for the ECAC title.
Oklahoma took a trip up to Iowa to take on the Simpson Storm and came home with a victory. The Sooners put up a (400.6) to overtake Simpson (360.95). Ignacio Yockers continued his streak of dominance on pommel horse with another outstanding performance scoring a (14.85).
In Ann Arbor, the Wolverines (407.75) defeated Springfield College (384.85). Predictably, Fred Richard carried Michigan with wins on Vault (14.9) and High bar (14.45). Richard’s teammate Logan McKeown impressed on parallel bars (14.6). Springfield’s Payton Cramer claimed the pommel horse title (14.35) as he continues to insert himself into the battle for this year’s pommel horse title.
In a virtual dual, Cal took on William & Mary. The Bears put up a (393.15) to take down the Tribe (376.9). Cal’s Jasper Gordon-Smith showed a big vault, scoring (14.55) to win the title on that event, and William & Mary’s Aidan Cuy came away with the All-Around crown (76.6).
