CGA All Star Meet: Season 3

The CGA, in partnership with Virtius, is excited to announce the third annual CGA All-Star meet to kick off the 2025 NCAA men’s gymnastics season. Each year this contest acts as a preview for the upcoming season. The NCAA will be split into two divisions, East and West and the athletes will compete head to head to crown the top division in NCAA Men’s gymnastics. This year we’re adding some fan engagement to the event. Fans will be able to have a say in who they want on the 2025 All-Star teams through social media interaction and polling on our website to select the teams.

Meet format:
4v4 on each event
10.0 scoring system
Head to head format
4 athletes per team per event
Athlete Selection
The top gymnast from each division at the 2024 NCAA Championships on each event will be nominated to the All-Star team
If nomination is not accepted, the next best gymnast from each division at the 2024 NCAA Championships will be nominated
The other two athletes for each event will be selected through a social media campaign and fan voting.
How will the All-Star Selection Social Media Campaign work?
Submission: October 28th-November 2nd
Participation Criteria:
Open to all athletes with a maximum of 1 video per event per athlete.
Athlete Expectation:
Video to include (name, school, biggest skill, stuck dismount)
Video needs to request to collaborate with @collegemgym on Instagram
Finalist: November 6th-November 7th
Participation Criteria:
5 finalists per event selected from submissions from each division based on likes
Athlete Expectations:
Engage with fans to receive as many votes as possible
Finalist Selection Criteria:
2 athletes selected per event per division based on website polling

Timeline:
Automatic All-Star qualifiers announced: October 7th
Round 1: October 28th - November 2nd @ 5:00 pm EST
Round 2: November 6th & 7th
Final day to vote: November 7th
Teams Revealed: November 8th
Head Coaches: Top placing Head Coach from each division at the 2024 NCAA Championships
East Head Coach: Xiao Yuan (Michigan)
West Head Coach: Thom Glielmi (Stanford)
Judging:
Panel of 4 Brevet certified judges
Scoring out of a 10.0
Six Skills per routine
Base score of 7.6 (with all element groups completed)
