2023 CGA All-Star Competition

In partnership with Virtius, the College Gymnastics Association presents the second annual NCAA All-Stars. This competition will be broken down by East and West with each team selecting four All-Stars per event. In the coming weeks, keep an eye out for team selections, interviews with athletes, and more to prepare for the CGA All-Star Meet. 

Competition format: 

  • 4v4 on each event.

  • 10.0 scoring system.

  • Head-to-head format.

Athlete/Lineup selection

  • Athletes have been selected for the all-star team based on their placement at last year’s NCAA Championships

  • Current Freshman can make the team using a petition from their personal coach to the CGA executive committee

  • The lineups will be determined by the head coach of each team

Head Coaches

Determined based on how their team placed at NCAA championships in the previous year

  • East Head Coach: Xiao Yuan

  • West Head coach: Thom Glielmi

Judging

  • Panel of 4 FIG Brevet certified judges 

  • Scoring out of a 10.0

  • Six skills per routine

  • Base score of 7.6 (if all element groups are completed)

  • Difficulty accumulation possible up to 10.0

The CGA and Virtius can’t wait to put on another rendition of the CGA All-Star meet, where fans can witness the world class gymnasts of the NCAA show off their new skills for the season in a no-fluff format.
