Simpson College Adds Men's NCAA Gymnastics
Please join the College Gymnastics Association in welcoming Simpson College to NCAA Gymnastics. Marking the second school in just over a month to add both Men’s and Women’s Division III Gymnastics, and now the third D3 school in the country on the men’s side. Simpson College is a private liberal arts institution located in Indianola, Iowa. The school was founded in 1860 by Matthew Simpson, the minister who is most famous for his eulogy at Abraham Lincoln’s funeral.
Once again, a whole host of CGA partners are to thank for the good news out of Iowa. The PICTOR Group was once again instrumental in working with the Athletic Administration at Simpson College. AAI Equipment, DGS, and TURN Gymnastics, are also providing support to get the program off the ground and running. These sponsors have now proved pivotal in the addition of two new programs. Any other brand that would like to help replicate the success that has been had with Greenville and Simpson is encouraged to contact the CGA directly.
The College Gymnastics Association has pledged $10,000 to both of the new programs, funded by contributions from the Stronger Together Campaign. The ongoing support from the gymnastics community is instrumental towards ensuring a future where NCAA Men’s Gymnastics thrives. As was written last week, Men’s NCAA Gymnastics is Back in Growth Mode. The addition of Simpson College is another step in the right direction as more and more opportunities are created for aspiring gymnasts. Simpson College has etched their name as pioneers in the movement towards a brighter future for the sport.
