Since 1903, Gopher Men’s Gymnastics has been an integral part of Minnesota Athletics. Dr. Louis J Cooke had the vision to start the program way back at the turn of the 20th century and in our first year of existence, we won the Big Ten Team Title. The Gophers have won that title a total of 21 times with another 17 seasons as Big Ten runner up.

Throughout this long standing 120 year history we have had an amazing run here in Minneapolis. With the current Covid related financial impact the athletic department is experiencing, there is an outside chance some athletic programs at Minnesota may be in jeopardy. We can stem the tide if we all unite and stay Stronger Together with this fundraising campaign.

Each of us has a network of family and friends, and colleagues and workmates - it’s going to be up to us to mobilize that network and motivate them into taking action. The action we need is quite simple - we need as many people as possible who are associated with Gopher Gymnastics to make a donation. The farther we cast the net, the more potential we have to create a new revenue stream that could be an integral part of the puzzle to keep us in the gym.

We are in unprecedented times and it will take unprecedented effort. I hope we can count on each of you to help. Thanks and Go Gophers!

September 10, 2020 Update: On Thursday, September 10, we were notified that men’s gymnastics and 3 other men's sports at the University of Minnesota would be discontinued at the end of the 2021 season.

As you may know, Minnesota is scheduled to host the 2021 NCAA Championships on April 16 & 17, 2021. The news we received was a bitter pill to swallow but the team is back in the gym, preparing for another season and we’ll still need your assistance with this fundraising campaign. Thank you.
