To all in the gymnastics community,

We have a very unique tradition at Springfield College with our yearly Gymnastics Exhibition Homeshow. Think somewhat of a Cirque Du Sole at the college level! Our exhibition teams used to travel all over the country and even to Mexico and Canada, performed in the middle of Shea Stadium and at the conclusion of the 1996 U.S. Olympic Trials. Even though it will be virtual this year, we will be keeping this alive with our 111th Homeshow in the schools history this fall. Why am I telling you this? It’s simple. Springfield College, like all of these collegiate gymnastics programs, continues to have a rich Tradition of Excellence in gymnastics that builds stronger each year that started from the first traveling exhibition show in 1887 to currently being the only NCAA Division III Varsity Men’s Gymnastics Team in the country.

Springfield College is so deeply proud of our mission of teaching the whole person in Spirit, Mind, and Body in Leadership and Service to others that it is easy to see why gymnastics has continued to flourish at our institution. These are the exact same teachings one gets when involved in the sport of gymnastics from a young age. This is why all the coaches and everyone involved in our sport continues to dedicate their time to make sure these opportunities will be there in the future. I am very grateful that at Springfield College, we have great support and dedication from our School President: Dr. Cooper, our Athletic Director: Dr. Poisson, all staff in the athletic department, campus faculty, the gymnastics community and of course, all of our passionate gymnastics alumni. I truly appreciate any support given, small or large, to our long storied program to help ensure our sport at the collegiate level continues for a long time. I know these times are truly tough for everyone right now, but I also know Together We Are Stronger!

SC! PRIDE! SC! FIGHT!
