Heath Thorpe to contribute to world championships coverage for Gymnastics Now and College Gymnastics Association

As part of the College Gymnastics Association’s ongoing partnership with Gymnastics Now, reigning Australian all-around champion Heath Thorpe will join our team as a contributor for the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp, Belgium, from September 30 to October 8.

Thorpe, who is currently based in Belgium to compete in the Bundesliga, will use his extensive gymnastics knowledge and experience, as well as his educational background in communications and journalism, to write articles, live blog, and interview athletes on-site in Belgium alongside the rest of the Gymnastics Now team.

“I am super excited to have the opportunity to work with Gymnastics Now and the College Gymnastics Association on the upcoming World Championships,” Thorpe said. “I have always been a huge gymnastics fan alongside being an international athlete myself, so I am super excited to apply all my knowledge and experiences to the coverage of the event. It is going to be a lot of fun, and I cannot wait to amplify the stories and successes of my fellow competitors!” The CGA and Gymnastics Now’s expanded world championships coverage will include interviews, features, and recaps about current and former NCAA men’s athletes competing for their countries at the global championships.
